Edinburgh Napier University delivers the skills and experience that matter. We combine professional know-how with an academic approach and work-related learning to help our students beyond university.
Edinburgh Napier University is one of the largest higher education institutions in Scotland with nearly 20,000 students studying professional and relevant courses. The University is made up of six schools:
Within these schools we are proud to say that we have one of the largest and most modern business schools and computing departments in the UK. We also have the largest School of Health & Social Care in Scotland, being the only provider of all fields of nursing and undergraduate midwifery training.
In 2016, we were awarded the prestigious Queen’s Anniversary Prize for a second time for our work in timber engineering, sustainable construction and wood science.
You can find out about fees and entry requirements by visiting the page about your country on our website.
We offer a range of scholarships to help with the cost of study, including specific awards for Africa and South Asia. You can search for scholarships on our website.
Edinburgh Napier University has pursued an internationalisation policy that is based on developing sustainable and equitable partnerships with overseas educational institutions. These partnerships cover a range of activities, from research, academic and student exchanges, to the transnational education (TNE) partnerships we have in China, Hong Kong, Myanmar, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Switzerland.
Edinburgh Napier is committed to excellence in teaching, learning, research and transferring our knowledge to business. Our research focuses on specialist areas aligned with the present and future needs of businesses, ensuring it has an immediate economic impact, contributes to business improvement and produces positive effects for the economy and society in the future. From the future of refugee housing to lighting up Scotland's historic capital city, find out about just some of our projects that are having an impact both in Scotland and further afield.
Our commitment to learning has led to an over £3 million investment into a new research hub to support the construction of sustainable housing in the UK, carrying out research that will make a substantial impact on society.
Our courses are developed in consultation with business and industry to ensure they respond to the needs of employers and develop the confidence in our graduates that will enable them to adapt to changing circumstances throughout their careers. That's why more than 95% of our graduates are in work or further study within six months of graduating (HESA 2016).
